KATE CUCCINIELLO JOINS HOTEL ICON’S BALANCE DAY SPA IN HOUSTON AS SPA MANAGER

HOUSTON, TX – June, 30 2008 – With a background that encompasses the spa, beauty and hospitality industries, as well as athletics, Kate Cucciniello, was an ideal fit for the position of spa manager of Balance Day Spa at Houston’s acclaimed Hotel ICON (www.hotelicon.com).  Recently hired for her experience in the Houston spa market in addition to her commitment to securing a level of unrivaled customer service in keeping with that of the hotel, Cucciniello has been pivotal in raising awareness of Balance as the downtown area’s premier spa offering.

The newly enhanced spa with state-of-the-art fitness facility offers a variety of treatments and packages typically associated with larger venues in an intimate and serene setting within steps of the legal district and core of the central business district.  Highlights include massages, wraps, facials, waxing, makeovers, manicures and hair up-dos.

Prior to joining Balance Day Spa at Hotel ICON, Cucciniello was the assistant spa manager for two years at The Houstonian’s award-winning Trellis Spa, a benchmark for larger Houston area spas.  She initially worked in the urban resort’s social catering department.

Cucciniello is a graduate of St. John’s University in Jamaica, NY where she earned a degree in Hospitality Management.  While in college, the Division I softball pitcher served as an athletics assistant and events coordinator at St. John’s and was also a fragrance and make-up specialist at Sephora.
